Stone Cockpit Panellings

For enlargement of the application-fields of natural stone, in 1988 Lecon Group developed new methods in panelling furniture, walls, floors, building elements, car- and yacht- interiors with thin natural stone vaneers. This advanced technology package embraces 6 patents with new industrial methods of cutting natural stone, marble, granite and artificial stone into thin lightweight not breakable veneers including production-plants, cutting processes, compound- and adhesive technologies and a number of product-design patents as well as design- & art copyrights.

One goal of this technology package for advanced architectonic application especially for interior panelling in car- and yacht-cockpits is to be seen in the durability and safety of a lightweight compound between a thin stone vaneer and a carrier material - the more if the vaneer is used as car-cockpit panelling being permanently exposed to torsions, vibrations and temperature changes between - 30 and + 100 degrees C°. For this exclusice automotive styling product Lecon Engineering and Lecon Design developed special composite structures and adhesive technologies which guarantee durability and safety according to the necessities of compound-resistance even against high impacts.

Besides building material-, floor-, wall- and furniture-panelling, the hence following interior panelling of car-cockpits is protected by patents and design copyrights of Lecon since 1988. A logical result of Lecon´sroup profound Heritage in design, architecture and Stone Systems.

Now as before, the application of natural stone, marble and granite as well as artificial stone-vaneers as exclusive car-cockpit design-components represent a major identification item of Lecon Design, Lecon Automotive Systems and Lecon Stone Systems.
